Educational Program for a Culture of PeaceOnce again, the city of Saltillo in the North region of Mexico got dressed in peace. Last February 9, 2009, in a very touching ceremony, the Ph.D. Alicia Rodriguez, World-wide President of the International Committee of the Flag of peace, gave to the Flag to 32 high schools and of Formation for the Work. In representation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the State of Coahuila, the Prof. Victor Manuel Zamora Rodriguez, received the flag with great emotion, Claudia Espinosa Cavazos, who offered to give the Minister, all the information of the work done by the Culture of peace, that is being held in all schools. In spite of the thousands of young people who attended the entrance of the Flag of peace, an impressive silence took place. The glances of the students were kind and respectful, and we can say that we could say that we could felt such devotion that when the flag’s initiator message, the illustrious Nicholas Roerich, was finishing and they listen to the words ”Peace to the men of good will”, applause and admiration turned upside down in. They received the Flag with joy. It was a true celebration of peace and joy. The principals of each Institution, received truly touched it and they committed to build a true culture of peace in their schools, to modify attitudes so that the natural answer to conflicts could be pacific and oriented towards the dialogue and the reasoning and not towards the aggression, following guidelines of the program ”Together we build peace”, that years before had begun in 7000 Primary schools of the State of Coahuila. At the end of the ceremony, while the attendants with the hands up and interlaced were intoning the Hymn of Joy, the principals, outside program and of protocol, they lowered of the forum and waving with great emotion the flags and crossing all the enclosure in the middle of row and demonstrations of joy of more than two thousand students, who were witnesses of the commitment that in the name of all of them their principals did, students supported their representatives with joy and rejoicing. The voices of the audience, continued singing the Hymn of Joy, generating a great emotion in the hearts of the people gathered there and an energy of love that all that had the high honor of being distinguished with the flag of peace experienced. WE ALL FELT SURE THAT WORKING FOR PEACE IS TO WORK FOR A BETTER WORLD, TO WORK FOR LA PAZ IS TO SPEAK BRINGING BACK TO OUR CONSCIENS AND SPIRITS WITH WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE. Now, by far pride, Coahuila could be echo of the words of Nicholas Roerich: ”WE HAVE SEEDED THE SEED OF LA PAZ…”
