The International Committee for the Banner of Peace was founded by the celebrated artist, Nicolas K. Roerich, and continued by Dr. Alice Rodriguez.
It is a non-profit association that has been distinguished by the United Nations for it’s peace work in various countries. It represents no religion or political ideology. It’s message is one of INTEGRATION AND PEACE, with the purpose of achieving UNITY IN DIVERSITY. Its labor consists in spreading and making known the message of the Banner of Peace and its founder, Professor Nicolas K. Roerich.
This Committee, in the person of its president, Dr. Alicia Rodriguez, has delivered hundreds of Banners to governments, presidents, parliaments, municipalities, universities, scientific and cultural institutions, churches, humanitarian and social institutions, NGOs, educational organizations, etc.
The Committee promotes conferences, seminars, talks on radio and television, helping men and women to understand how to become peaceful beings and thereby achieve the goal of A CULTURE OF PEACE (PEACE CULTURE). The Central Committee has various Coordinating Groups, with volunteer members who service without economic remuneration.
