The International Committee for the Banner of Peace

On each journey I make to hand over the Peace Flag around the world, I do not only receive affection from people I visit, I also receive the most incredible presents. Amongst these, I have received a special gift from the Buddhist group from Ust Koksa, Siberia.

It is bracelet which belonged to a Maitreya statue since 1896 and which was built in Buryatiya, next to the Baikal lake, in the Tsogulskiy monastery.

During 60 years the statue was preserved in the Saint Petersburg`s Museum of Religions.

In 2005, the statue was restored by Bair Darmaev and Darkham Fyodor Putintsev , who has received the Buddhist initiation for constructing temples. While restoring the Maitreya statue, the bracelet was not placed on all together. For my astonishment and gratefulness, Fiodr decided that the ideal persona to receive the part of the bracelet which was put out was me. This is because of the mission of peace that I have impersonated throughout the world for over 27 years.

Believe me, I do not have the words to thank for this honor. I have never had in my hands an object with such elevated and strong vibration as this bracelet, located until 1896 on the Maitreya Statue.
