On August 10, 2008, I again had the opportunity to be in a very special place on the Planet Altai in Siberia (Russia).<\/p>\n

Keeping in mind that I live in Mexico, which is exactly half way around the Planet, you can imagine that the trip is truly an expedition that is nearly impossible to accomplish if we don`t have a spiritual goal.<\/p>\n

When I felt the call and desire to return to this Mythic Land that the \u2018Vox Populi\u2019 baptized as Belovodye the place of White Waters or the \u2018Shambala of the North,\u2019 I felt I was embarking on a profound spiritual journey. To those who have the capacity to accept that there are Higher Beings that come from other planes of consciousness attempting to help prevent our Planet from exploding into millions of pieces due to not only environmental, but mental, pollution it will be apparent that these Beings are part of a Grand Planetary Hierarchy, and they tell us that: \u2018Altai, has been chosen by us.\u2019 In effect, this region of unequaled beauty which the Creator of the Peace Flag, the noted artist Nicholas Roerich, called \u2018The Jewel of Asia,\u2019 remains a Paradise. It is no surprise to me that it is called \u2018The Shambala of the North.\u2019 During my stay of more than a month in these lares, I have had the sensation of having lived in a place of eternal happiness, joy and wisdom. It is from this state of happiness that we were able to connect with the Greek precept of Delphi: \u2018Man, know thyself.\u2019 There it is easy to connect with our inner being, from this relaxing state we call meditation; it is our natural condition. The famous film \u2018Shangri-La,\u2019 in which we are shown a place ruled by eternal youth, wisdom, health and happiness, reminds me of this magical territory, Altai above all, an area around Mount Beluha, where one of the Ascended Masters M.M. has chosen to manifest on this Planet.<\/p>\n

Uimon Valley is situated near Mount Beluha, where, 18 years ago, I had the honor of establishing a sacred place with the Peace Flag, using soil from India, Russia and Mexico, with the desire that this Sacred Symbol should radiate its force for peace to the entire Planet as a way of compensating for the damaged and convulsed state or our World.<\/p>\n

Uimon Valley is the site of a typical little Siberian village,Verkniy Uimon, surrounded by \u2018Verioskas\u2019 with their beautiful white trunks flecked with gold, and pine groves, there beside the Kathun River, which has the force and blue color of a glacier. This is the place where the Roerichs organized the final details for the scientific-spiritual-cultural expedition that would carry them to Asia. I was able to present the Peace Flag to the Siberian Roerich Society, with its headquarters in Novosibirsk, in a place where the Roerichs slept before departing on that expedition. It truly was an emblematic place. In my diary I wrote: \u2018What joy to have been able to deliver the Peace Flag, on the 22nd Anniversary of my mission, in this marvelous and inviting place.\u2019 It was accepted with great emotion by Mrs. Olga Olkhaya, Executive Director of the Roerich Society of Siberia, whose members have done a marvelous job of educating about the work of Helena and Nicholas Roerich, building an impressive Museum in their honor. The head of that institution was, for years, the extraordinary Natalia Spirina, whom I had the privilege of meeting in 1990 in Novosibirsk. In the presentation ceremony, and as a posthumous homage, I presented to Natalia the greatest honor that this International Committee authorizes – the Nicholas Roerich medal – for the marvelous work she realized.<\/p>\n

During the presentation ceremony for the Peace Flag, it seemed that we had been transported to another spiritual plane. In accordance with the teachings of Agni Yoga that Helena Roerich received from Master M., the \u2018agni,\u2019 or the fire of superior worlds, united our hearts. While the ceremony was taking place, all was silence, broken only occasionally by sobs of emotion. That feeling of happiness, and of being spiritually ONLY ONE, united those of us present in an ecstasy and spiritual joy that fired the flame of our hearts. WE WERE ALL ONE. We were living fully the Roerich message: \u2018Unity in diversity.\u2019 We were experiencing, in the presence of the Symbol of the Peace Flag, an ecstasy of spirit. This ecstasy is the radiation of the Superior World, the World of the Spirit.<\/p>\n
