The International Committee for the Banner of Peace

In 2014, Culture year in Rusia, the International Committe of the Banner of Peace, had the privilege to nominate to Altai Krai, Republic of Peace, achieving thus one of the dreams from illustrious Nicholas Roerich, who loved so much this region.

In this ocassion, we had the joy of flagging 33 Russian institutions and hoist a Monumental Banner of Peace, with the representant from the Government of the Altai Republic and Igor Alexander Korotkov, the Arts and History Museum of Barnaul Director, where we have celebrated several anniversaries of mission of Culture Peace.

On Auguts 18th, 2018; BIYSK was nominated by this International Committe, CITY OF PEACE; receiving its City Hall and their inhabitants of this city the Banner of Peace.

The Belovodye Institution members, who love so the Banner of Peace, vibrated with excitment while heard the words from Dr. Alicia Rodríguez, giving the Nicholas Roerich's message.

Many of the Biysk schools, have already joined our program "Together we build the Peace" and their beautifuls drawings about the Banner of Peace, were exhibited during the flag delivery event, the winning children of the contest beign congratulated by the Committe President.

It's interesting to know that in this beautiful City of Biysk, which preserves its historic downtown, as it was in previous centuries, stayed overnight Nicholas Roerich and his retinue, before leaving to Gornoy Altai and Upper Uymon to Asia.
